This early version is constructed out of solid teak and have a luxurious orange hue with figures of dark grain throughout.
The sculpted armrests are of special note. Their execution is very reminiscent of those of Finn Juhl's chairs. The joinery is fantastic and is proof of the craftsmanship Wanscher put into all of his work.
The original fabric has a few minor stains. The comfortable seat and back cushions have internal springs. Marked with the labels France & Son Denmark (FF) and France and Daverkosen (FD).
We also have 2 other FD 109 easy chairs. The other chairs are a bit lower and have a different back (two wooden slats less than this chair).
